傍晚經文
因為你曾以力量束我的腰、使我能爭戰．你也使那起來攻擊我的都服在我以下。
我為基督的緣故、就以軟弱、凌辱、急難、逼迫、困苦、為可喜樂的．因我甚麼時候軟弱、甚麼時候就剛強了。
亞撒呼求耶和華他的神、說、耶和華阿、惟有你能幫助軟弱的、勝過強盛的．耶和華我們的神阿、求你幫助我們．因為我們仰賴你、奉你的名來攻擊這大軍。耶和華阿、你是我們的神、不要容人勝過你。 - 車兵長看見約沙法便說、這必是以色列王、就轉過去與他爭戰。約沙法一呼喊、耶和華就幫助他．神又感動他們離開他。
投靠耶和華、強似倚賴人。投靠耶和華、強似倚賴王子。 - 君王不能因兵多得勝．勇士不能因力大得救。靠馬得救是枉然的．馬也不能因力大救人。
因我們並不是與屬血氣的爭戰、乃是與那些執政的、掌權的、管轄這幽暗世界的、以及天空屬靈氣的惡魔爭戰。〔兩爭戰原文都作摔跤〕所以要拿起神所賜的全副軍裝、好在磨難的日子、抵擋仇敵、並且成就了一切、還能站立得住。

Evening Scripture
You armed me with strength for battle; you made my adversaries bow at my feet.
That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Then Asa called to the LORD his God and said, "LORD, there is no one like you to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this vast army. O LORD, you are our God; do not let man prevail against you." - When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought, "This is the king of Israel." So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him. God drew them away from him,
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes. - No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength.A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
